Well, I had my long awaited ENT exam today to see if I could get any  clue on why I can't get my AHI down.  It seems absolutely nothing is wrong, so it's just a matter of fiddling with the pressures to get them right.  Good news.

My next appointment with the Sleep DOctor is 12/27/10.

Glad to hear the ENT gave your ears, nose and throat a clean bill of health, Mary Z!!! Surgery is never any fun. And the 27th isn't THAT far away, especially since we know how soon Christmas can creep up on us!!

Of course, if you aren't sleeping phershtunga 2 weeks can seem like FOREVER!!!

That's great news Mary, even though I'm sure you were hoping to have found a good reason on why your AHI is high.  Trust me, it's better than waiting around like I am for surgery.  Let's hope the doc on the 27th can help you with a simple explanation!
