Does anyone use ozonated distilled water in their CPAP.
I have been experiencing headaches and burning eyes since using the ozonated water.
I am beginning to think there may be a connection.
Please let me know if you have any information on this subject.
Thanks so much.

Ozone is very unstable and doesn't stick around very long; there shouldn't be any ozone left in the water by the time you buy it. If there were ozone in the water, exposing the jug to sunlight for a couple of hours should remove it. If you want to be really sure that the ozone is gone, bring it to a boil and let it cool.
What are you using to clean humidifier , hose mask? Soaps leave residue .A dilute white vinegar solution works well for me to clean with. Just plain distilled water from wallmart at 88 cents a gal works just fine for me . What setting are you using on the humidifier? Is your mask leaking in to your eyes? Try a comfort care pad by chi-san it plugged my leak.Good Sleep,Chris

RE: Ozonated distilled water.
I, too, have recently begun using ozonated water in my CPAP. I have developed a cough and wheeze. I believe they are related. I live in Canada, and Walmart here sells REMINERALIZED distilled water (?). I have found plain, distilled water works well for me. I buy it at the grocery store, or drugstore. My sleep tech advised me not to clean equipment with anti-bacterial soap, as it leaves a residue, but soak in mild detergent, rinse well, and air dry. She said cleaning weekly was sufficient, and I have found this to be true. I have been using the mask for over two years now. I bought the ozonated water by accident, and I understand it is healthful for a number of things, but perhaps not inhaling. I have found leaks can remedied by adjusting the elastic straps on the headgear.
