Due to difficulties I am having, I have to pose the question, does swallowing air cause problems other than gas?

I am so full of air it is not only embarassing, but painful. A month ago, I wound up in the emergency room being evaluated for possible heart attack because of chest heaviness and some pain. Nothing was found.

Went to primary care physician who also sent me to GI doctor. Both wanted me to be further evaluated by cardiologist. GI doctor has found enlargement of left liver lobe so I'm getting a liver CT this coming Tuesday and the following Monday I will be having a heart catherization. Cardiologist doesn't think there is a problem, but doing procedure due to concerns of other two doctors to rule out anything being there.

Could any of the problems I'm having come from the air I am swallowing? Could it be agravating my stomach, liver, chest? Or am I just too hopeful?

I am doing better since going from the CPAP to the BiPap. My average nights sleep is 7 hours, my AP is usually 0.0-0.1, and my AHI is averaging 6.3 per week. Since I am still having the air issue, I will be asking sleep doctor to lower the air pressure another notch to see if it helps. He has been wonderful about working with me, even though I haven't been in to see him since my last sleep study. I see him Tuesday for my month follow-up. He lowered the pressure a notch three weeks ago after I called them.

Thank you for your thoughts on this.
