ResMed Lagging Behind Respironics in New Product Releases

Anyone else notice that Respironics seems to be releasing a bunch of new products as of late, including its new System One flow generator line and today the announcement of a BiPAP autoSV Advanced whereas ResMed hasn't introduced a new product in awhile?

I'm not saying ResMed should rush to market with new products just for the sake of it. But is this trend something anyone else has noticed, or am I off base with this perception?

In my eyes it is Respironics that is still playing catch up. If Respironics does not put out an end user software program for the PR1 system before the S9 comes out they may be in trouble. It is just my opinion, but the autoset II is still the machine to beat. Most ASV units are Bipap capable already. I would think that they would be better off mastering the technology of the existing units before moving on to something else that may or may not be even more confusing than what is already out. That would not bring in as big of a profit though.
I hate losing my thunder;)

i do think that the failure of Respironics to put out an end user software program for the PR1 line is, as the Spanish expression goes, piss poor Senor.
