Hi-- I am using a Respironics BiPap, auto, bi-flex that is fully data capable.
Two nights ago I tried the Resmed Activa nose mask, and last night I used my Swift LT for Her nasal pillows. I was curious about the differences in the data from the two nights given that the reported leak rate was not that much different between the two masks. I'm wondering if any of you had guesses/reasons for why the data would be so different, especially the AHI. Both were used for a little over 9 hours:
Resmed Activa Nose Mask:
90% CMH2O 15/13
L/M 29
AHI 8
SWIFT II for her Nasal Pillows:
90% CMH2O 11/7
L/M 27
AHI 5.6
I am new at this, but it seems to me that the Nasal Pillows are getting a better result at a lower pressure. Am I reading this correctly? Also, am guessing that I should work towards a lower AHI than the reported 5.6 on the better night anyway...
Thoughts?
Thanks
Jan
