I'm getting ready to go on a camping trip. I have the REMStar Pro M-Series with Humidifier and I'm looking for battery packs to use on my cpap machine. I know that my first month of using my cpap machine I missed 9 days. Ok, so I was at 70% of usage Anyhow, I'm thinking of getting a power inverter for my cpap machine. So that I will have a power back up or even to use it if I'm at home and the power goes out. Or even worse a natural disaster..

Don't use an inverter. It sucks too much power, and you'll be powering the inverter instead of your CPAP. Get a Deep Charge Marine Battery and the appropriate cables and hook it directly to the DC Input on the CPAP.

Also remember not to power the heated humidifier. You can still use water in the humidifier, but don't turn it on. It sucks up a lot of power.
oops, just saw you had posted this already. wouldn't have posted it in the other thread if i had seen it earlier.
I've been wondering how to get enough portable power to go backpacking as well. Suunto has a solar charging type of sheet, but how many would I need for a weekend of camping with maybe some radio use in the evenings. Still working on it. Evan
