“Mollete I am sorry if you do not like our trial program.

I have not been banned from anywhere and I'm not sure what that is all about.”

I doubt that you are, indeed, sorry.  On the contrary, I’m quite sure you wish I were dead.

However, I did not say I did not like it—besides, my “likes” (or dislikes) are academic.  Rather, I asked specific questions about the safety of your mask program, vis-à-vis compliance with infection prevention regulations regarding the reuse of SUDs.  What specifically are you doing to comply with these standards as well as the manufacturers’ recommendations?

Not banned, huh?  Well that’s easy enough to check out.  Post a sales link there again and let’s see what happens.

Lab?  Moi?

I do not have a "lab", but if I did, I would certainly comply with the recommended infection prevention procedures.

So what does your lab do?

BTW, of those people who used the CPAP Library mask trial program, was the headgear new or used?

If used, did the prior loanee have any signs of head lice, ringworm or bedbugs?

Was the headgear sterilized (trick question- you can't)?

TIA.

We should add this to the CPAP Library Mask Evaluation Questionairre:

#5.  Did your face fall off after using the mask?

Note that the very title of these hospital departments has changed from "Infection Control" to "Infection Prevention".

Ginny, if your face hasn't fallen off, I wouldn't worry.

Do you work for a lab? If so how do you handle masks? Are you on PAP? How do you clean your own?

I do not use or need CPAP.

In re:  infection prevention in masks, I would refer to the manufacturers' recommendations:

http://www.resmed.com/assets/documents/service_support/mask_sterili...

http://www.healthcare.philips.com/pwc_hc/main/shared/Assets/Documen...

The obvious point here is that these are not SUDs.

mollete, if you 'do not use or need CPAP' what are you doing on this site? It is for people who need support and advice and for people with Sleep Apnea who want to share experiences not a debating forum!

That's not how it works guys. Mollete, all be her very different approach to things is a very intelligent and educated person. I have dealt with her on several occasions over my years in sleep. If she is asking a question typically there is a good reason. I believe her motives to be more of awareness than anything else. There is a risk to trading, buying, or using used mask. Let that be the lesson.

Can we move on now?

let us all move on

and remember the lessons

Which lessons are those?

Since you asked, I am a Psychological Profiler doing a study on CPAP Compliance and Myopia.

Back to the topic at hand:

1 stop infighting as this is a friendly site

2 proper sterilization is important of  A)masks B) cleanliness of all other parts of our equipment is vital to our well being

can we now move on
