I have had my cpap for a month, and I want to know if it's common to still feel tired and moody for awhile?

I do feel some better, but I wonder if it can take awhile to get a lot better.

it took me awhile to feel better. years of living with untreated sleep apnea have us build up a pretty enormous 'sleep debt' which needs to be repaid. basically, your body is being "paid back" for every night prior to your treatment when you stopped breathing over the course of the night, awakening you in a fight or flight struggle to survive.

for me, the progress was slow and certain. i started to notice first how i awoke feeling refreshed and positive about the day ahead of me. then other people started to comment.
This is encouraging news, as I am a newbie it helps to know that it will take some time to get back our "sleep debt" like you I find I still feel tired and moody. I am anxious to get to that feel good stage.....So nice to know there is light at the end of the sleepless tunnel lol

the light is definitely at the end of the tunnel. truth be told, CPAP pulled me out of depression.
