I was diagnosed of having sleep apnea. I've been wearing a CPAP for almost two years now but it seems I still have the symptoms: early morning headaches, fatigued, sleepiness, forgetfulness and trouble concentrating. Recently, I was moved to a new unit where I have to re-learn new stuff and my errors rates has increased. I was having problems comprehending and forgetting details. I was talked to at work by my supervisor and Manager that I will subjected to a disciplinary action or possible dismissal due to my poor work performance as I do not meet their standards. Somebody suggested to file an ADA claim due to my medical condition. I went to see my doctor as I am getting so stressed, my blood pressure goes up, and would have anxiety attacks because of this. My doctor doesn't think that it is caused by sleep apnea but a work adjustment issue. But I know what my body is telling me. To file an ADA claim, I need a medical verification that I am being treated of having sleep apnea but my doctor said that she cannot help me on this. What should I do?
I have had a comfort gel nasal mask for 6 years, when I tried to change to nasal pillows, it didn't work out for me. Has anyone been able to switch the mask interface and tollerate it? My sleep doctor said he could have saved me $$ because people can't switch from a mask to pillows. I ended up giving the pillows to my sister who also has sleep apnea

I'm interested in finding out about sleep apnea and any type disibilities that might associated with this disorder. I have heard that you can apply for disability based on the severity of your sleep apnea. One reason I'm asking is even after what seems like a good nights sleep I'm still tired, sleeply and restless.

There's a new woman on here named Belinda--I want to send her a friend request but I can't find her anywhere. She replied in Discussion describing, among other things, he problems with congestion on CPAP. I can really relate to that !, but I can't find her....can you help??
Dear SleepGuide Crew,
My book "Deadly Sleep" was published last week. I gave early electronic versions of the book away free of charge to interested parties for over a year, but discontinued the site when iUniverse printed the the latest and final version. I will say nothing more about it if there are rules against it. Thanks, Mack Jones.
I have had my BiPap machine since Oct. 30, 2008. My husband sleeps with a CPap machine. He sleeps all night and feels great the next morning. I sleep 2-3 hours, wake up and can't go back to sleep. I usually pull my mask off and finally nap. I am tired the next day. I am very frustrated and can't understand why I can't sleep. Help!! Beth
Well, I don't really know where to look to find the answers to the question I asked on my newcomers discussion group. Will the post come to my page? thanks a bunch.
Thanks Banyon, the mask was really uncomfortable for me but I'm determined to give it a good try. Several people that I know have them and say it makes a world of difference. HERE'S HOPING!!!!
Thanks again
I really haven't given the machine much use. The first few times I lasted one hour.
I know that I need to try it again because I'm having a hard time sleeping. I believe my apnea is pretty mild...I stopped breathing 32 times during my study.

I'm looking for information about taping one's mouth at night. Is this done very often?
Thanks.
