Well, the PR S1 isn't the best device for checking your data via the LCD screen. It is almost a necessity to use the EncoreViewer or EncorePro software w/the PR S1s to get any data of any real value.
As long as you have decent insurance coverage for in-lab studies far be it from me to discourage going thru another to better pinpoint your needed therapy pressure.
However, it is the LEAK rate that you most need to know before evaluating any of your other data or selecting a therapy pressure to use. A high Leak rate usually requires a higher pressure needed because too much of your therapy is escaping.
xPAPs just are not as accurate as an in-lab study, their value is in detecting and reporting TRENDS in therapy results, which the in-lab studies can not do due to the economics of repeated in-lab studies over multiple nights. Thus they compliment each other. The point is, one night's worth of home PAP data doesn't have a whole lot of value. You have to be aware of a likely "first night effect" plus we just do NOT sleep the same night after night. You want at least a week's worth of data for every ONE change you make whether therapy setting or mask.
