As I've said before, I am new to all this, but I need to know what to do about leaks. I am using a Swift FX nasal pillows mask, and my leak rates are all over the place. From a low of 2.8 (only once) to a high of 30 -- mostly 8's and 12's. Is this good, or should I be concerned and look for a new mask? FInally got a chin strap, but it is cutting into my chin. Didn't think it was too tight though, otherwise my mouth opens up.

I don't think I could use a full face mask due to severe claustrophobia. The nasal pillows are bad enough.

Thanks!

I have a swift II nasal mask and use 'chin-up strips' to keep my mouth closed which in turn keeps my leak rates down.  I swear by them.  Application does require practice. It took me a few nights to figure it out.
I wish I could, but I am allergic to adhesive and have very sensitive skin. Looks like a good product though. Thanks!

You aren't the only person w/allergies and sensitive skin. And the medical manufacturers are very much aware of that fact.

3M Medical Specialties - tan mirco-pore rayon Hypoallergenic, latex free, gluten free to avoid skin irritation. Chin-Up Strips are patented, die cut and packaged in the USA.

I may have to look into this more closely. However I am leery as having bought the sensitive skin breath right strips and they tore my nose to pieces.
