I've heard of someone who contracted a lung infection possibly from their CPAP equipment. I now immerse in mild soapy water my reservoir, Mirage swift nasal pillow and short feed hose daily and my long hose and filter monthly. Is this too much? Anyone use rubbing alcohol?

The biggest thing is to dump the humidifier daily. A 50-50 solution of white vinegar makes a good sanitizer for CPAP equipment. Rubbing alcohol can damage silicone and other soft parts.

I think the soapy water should be effective. Alcohol is not recommended as It can cause components to dry out and crack. I don't think you're washing too often.
Dont use rubbing alcohol Tims wirght it will damage the nasal pillows what you are doing is perfect ot you can buy some controll 3 that what most all the labs clean thier equipment in and you can buy it at cpap .com for about $ 13.00 a bottle that should last you a long time and then i would look at the cpap equipment dryer Hurracane that what i use and it awsome.
