hi kids , so i am somewhat relieved something was found. Not that I want to have this dreaded ick. Its just several physicians have indicated a need for me to just "pull myself up by the boot straps," "see a shrink" and start jogging, etc etc.. I am so freaking tired and its been rough to keep up my happy face - glass is half full kind of nature.

 

heres the dope...

Summary Findings:  obstructive sleep apnea syndrome with REM preponderance and significant oxyhemoglobin desaturation. NO SNORING ! !!

 

apnea/hypopnea index (AHI) = 9 events per hour at 18 to 39 seconds

 

REM AHI = 19 events per hour

 

Oxyhemoglobin desat to 70 % DURING REM

 

Obstructive apneas = 24

Central Apneas =12.6

Mixed = 0

Hypopneas= 28

Tachycardia - 2 events

What kind of advice are you looking for Candice? Did you get a prescription for a fully data capable PAP machine?
well... I always shift to weight loss first personally I went Vegan its so easy. Get plenty excercise. Use your nPAP everytime you sleep or nap. Relax let go of the worlds issue they will be there in the morning to worry about..
BE SURE that the DME rep takes the time to do a proper mask fit. If it doesnt work for you tell her/him. Sleep well..
