Restrax does not keep anyone from monitoring data. It is basically a cell phone for your PAP machine that pops on and off.

Apneas or "hypopneas"? If "hypopneas," that may be no big deal with an S8 II. Just depends.
"the mask coming on and off throughout the night."
What does that mean?
I guess I'd have to see the report.
Does Restraxx keep the patient from downloading data to his own computer? Does Restraxx keep the patient from seeing the data from the LED of the machine?
I would not let anything stop me from monitoring my own therapy. Insurance cares about compliance, not quality of life. Since I'm the only one who cares about it, I control it, unless someone physically prevents me from doing so.
Then my position would be that the user needed to be monitoring therapy, not assuming someone would make contact if the numbers looked like they could be better.
