Hi ,

I'm new here and looking for experience , strength , hope and some laughs.

This summer on vacation  my kids told me i sound like im possessed at night.

I dont think i am - but who knows.

I gained some weight , yep and have been snoring.. but this new info isnt good.

My thorat is so dry in the morning and i am fatigued beyond repair and decided to seek some help.

I once had about of kideny stones and a little group like this helped alot. Maybe passing a stone was easier ?

lots of people on here who are happy to help. support and laughs (some better at the latter than others). you'll see. feel free to ask anything. no question is too small/ basic.
I just snooped your link. your a real person yeah ! thanks so much for posting.
You bring some pretty good humor yourself to something that can be so hard.
I've been trying to think of any funny stories about when my sleep apnea was untreated. There were my legendary naps of four of five hours when I was literally dead to the world. Anyone who couldn't get in touch with me would say "she's taking a nap". There's having the therapist have to cut short sessions as I'd fall asleep on her couch sitting up, and then her quandary about letting me drive home. (I'd head to the 7-11 for a five hour energy drink, chug that, then drink a Red Bull; still keep in fridge for emergencies). Dangerous driving. I used to literally fall asleep on my feet in the morning carrying my breakfast to the table, or if I made it to the table, couldn't stay awake to eat. Found out I snored during my sleep study. Didn't know that. Last time I was at the sleep docs some poor woman was just sleeping her waiting room time away- I guess she was not yet diagnosed or treated. She was sound asleep, not nodding.
Good luck on Monday.
Candice- even WITH CPAP, my mouth is like stuffed with cotton in the morning. You see, when you use CPAP nasal pillows, like me, many need a chinstrap to keep the mouth shut. Keep water handy. You know it's working if it's that dry. And the eyes? How about the eyelashes stuck closed? From the backspray on CPAP, but it's nothing a handy bottle of eye drops within reach can't cure. Just don't open your eyes before you apply lots of drops. Then squeeze them several times, and open slowly.
Snoring can kill, depriving the heart of oxygen, CPAP is great for many snorers. I know it works and I put my money where my mouth is... I buy Resmed (RMD) stock. (full disclosure:~)

Let us know how you are doing, OK?
HELLO FELLOW SLEEPY HEADS !!!

Gosh is it already WED ? I saw my physician on monday . I dont know why i had some shame concerning this , but i do. He went thur a Q & A . I had no idea sweats at night could be related to apena. So i passed , duh ... just ask my family. He sent the insurance forms and handed me a sleep diorder pamphlet - has a picture of what looks like a cheap motel room. cant wait. aghhhh.

This summer we went to cancun for two weeks and the last couple couple of nights went from a condo to a double room. The kids complained that I sounded "possessed" and wanted some ear plugs. I started putting two plus two together. ( have i mention how TIRED i am )

I really appreciate the posting and advice . By the way it seems some of you ..my fellows are not overweight and still suffer from this dreaded CRAP . the doc recommeds me losing 40 pounds and so I'm looking at the dusty pedometer and contemplating how the heck to dig up some energy. having a half full cup i am hoping a weight loss will FIX this .. along with a CPAP.. eye drops etc ... but what the heck is a nasla pillow ????

will google it :)

have a safe day . hugs .. and thank you
