Qualified for Cpap Aug 25, 2010
Pressure 8
Have tried full face = hurts when sleep on side = I am allergy challenged (dust, mites, trees) congested at times.
tried nose pillow = wanted to be able to read in bed = can't imagine sleeping with it forever = don't like things up nose
Today am picking up & trying Ultra Mirage™ II Nasal CPAP Mask with Headgear
There are too many choices out there - I am comparing different brands, I just don't want to wake up in the night fiddling with a mask.
Thanks,
Sandra S

I use a full face mask and sleep on my side. The thing that made the biggest difference was getting a cpap pillow on which to sleep. The cutouts in the pillow mean that the mask doesn't actually touch any part of the pillow so it doesn't push into my face.
Is this the pillow? http://www.contourliving.com/p-71-contour-cpap-pillow.aspx

I use a full face mask because I have allergies and breath through my mouth ( I have come to almost love my Quattro mask!). The Contour pillow is very comfortable and I can easily turn from side to side but I am beginning to find that I now don't seem to stir at all for 5-7 hours now that everything seems to be working.

Would I need both of these? The Sleep Comfort Care Pad &/ or RemZzzs CPAP mask/nasal liners
Also JCPenney sells the Cpap pillow & I can even use a store coupon!
Another dumb question.......How do you know you breath through your mouth. Last night I suffered through wearing the Quattro - I don't like it -- I do like my nasal mask --- that I do know...the clips are different but with practice I can master this. ..........to be continued.....Sandra

Yes Sandra this is the pillow that I use. It comes white a white fitted removable cover although now I find it easier just to use an ordinary pillowcase - they work just as well and are easier to wash. I hope you keep at it until you find what works. I had great doubts 5 months ago but realised I had to do something when my sleep test showed approx. 100 OA per hour and now I can't believe that I can stay fully awake ALL day.
I would also add that I found that I needed to use nose protection with the Quattro and I am very, very happy with the Comfort Care Sleep Pad.
Hope this helps.
