I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE AND CANNOT AFFORD THE $138.00(OR MORE) FOR NEW HEADGEAR.  I USE THE CATERPILLAR NOSE PIECE.  CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS?

Check with your local A.W.A.K.E. group or the United Way.
I have never heard the term caterpillar nose piece. Which mask are you using? We need the correct name of it. The forum, itself, does not provide any cpap equipment. The forum is made up of individuals that try to help each other with support and advice.

Someone may possibly have a headgear that is used, but still useable that you maybe able to get -- but again without the right name of the mask it will be real long shot.

As Rock suggested try your local AWAKE group, Salvation Army, and other local charities. Also, you may try calling around to your local DMEs and explain what is you are needing and see if they have any that they might possibly have laying around that were returned.
Caterpillar nose piece... I've never heard of that CPAP mask either. Who is the manufacturer?
RES MED IS THE ONLY NAME ONE IT. I WILL HAVE TO CALL THE PLACE I GOT IT FROM AND FIND OUT THIS INFO

You could also surf around on cpap.com to see if you find a mask that looks like the one you mean.

Good luck!
I looked on the resmed site under products, masks, and found several that look like caterpillars
Look on
Good Luck
I suppose the long skinny tubing that connects to any of the Resmed Swifts could look sorta caterpillarish... which makes sense since Mary refers to it as a 'nose piece', and a pillows system is kind of a 'nose piece'. My guess is that Mary has a Resmed Swift - just not sure if it's the Swift, Swift II, Swift LT or Swift FX (can probably rule out the FX since it's pretty new). Mysteries are fun.
