The NEW Respironics FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask - Review

Hey everyone,

This is my first post in this forum. I just wanted to let everyone know that I have begun a new blog where I will be reviewing new CPAP masks as they come out.

I just posted my first product review of my new full face mask (the Respironics FullLife). If you haven't heard of this mask yet, you will soon. Take a look at my in-depth product review at my blog:

http://thecpapreview.blogspot.com/

I hope that those of you who want more information on this mask will find my review helpful! I'll let you all know if I am able to make more reviews!

Sam,

I find the cloth band aids rip your skin the plastic are much better. You will not get any leaks around the band-aid so your eyes will be fine. I do find I open my mouth sometimes during the night that might cause a leak but again I wiggle the mask around a bit and it goes away. When a wiggle the mask I grasp the tube connection area and wiggle around..It kinda makes the mask float over your face like a hover craft without air escaping out the sides. I also use the quick connect on the tubing if I have to get up at all..so I wont have to readjust anything when I hook back up.

Thanks again. By wiggle move, you mean the mask? I'm sure washing my face would be a good idea, the only problem with that is it wakes you up :) I have another 3 weeks to try everything before deciding to keep it, so open to all ideas. I like the band aid idea, the cushier the better, but a question, plastic or cloth type? One advantage of a band aid is that it stays put. The gel pad tends to move around.
Many thanks again. I will try it tonight. I have been using CPAP since last May and find that you seldom sleep through the entire night and basically adjust the mask in your "sleep." Is this the way it typically goes? It is a good sleep unless you are really having mask problems.
Hi Guy. Thanks very much. Used the band aid last night, and worked great. Using the "wiggle" stopped the leaks and even washed my face. Woke up only once. I have to say the mask is a bit snug. It would nice to loosen it a bit, but not sure which straps to adjust without getting leaks. My big nose touches the mask inside as well, which shows just how snug the mask is.
Good review, and I love the fake Brett Favre article.
Thanks for the comprehensive review in your blog. I am always looking for a mask that won't tear up the bridge of my nose. The skin is very thin and very prone to breakdown. I'm presently working with the FitLife Total Face Mask by Respironics. It completely bypasses my nose, but my pressures are 18/22 and leaks are a problem with this, and so far any mask.
I'll keep this one on my "to try one day" list.
Thanks again,

Mary Z.
I hear ya, Mary. As previously mentioned in one of my posts, you could try the Sleep Care Comfort Care Pad. The cheapest is $12.95 + $4.95 shipping at CPAP USA. You probably will need the small size. I used a band aid, and it worked great, but with the size of my schnoz, I may need it to keep my nose from hitting the inside of the mask.
