I have had surgery to reconstruct my airway. and it is likely I will soon need more. The objective is to correct a lifelong problem with my lower mandible being removed at age 2. Amazingly OSA did not appear to be an issue where it interfered with and severely limited my life until I was 50. I am an artist and mother.. My story is long and I would someday like to share it In the mean time however,I need help with this health issue before it consumes me..I am not able to breathe and sleep. at night with my airway almost totally blocked. I use a cpap/bipap at the moment which I have had some success with (although due to poor fit and pressure on my airway from the straps I still have many arousalsat from sleep and body aches in the morning from struggling to breath all night long)) The problem is like a pothole that just gets worse until it is fixed. Is there anyone who builds custom masks for special needs of patients with abnormal anatomy.? Is this asking for a miracle? I do not want a trach.
