Leak Rate?

What do the leak rate numbers mean?

How high can the leak rate be before you should be concerned? If the leak rate is high but your AHI is under 5 should you be concerned?

Please be more specific. We need to know which machine you have because the way leak rate is reported varies by manufacturer. Also give us examples of the leak rate you are seeing.

I just wondered what the numbers 0.43 L/S refer to...leak rate per second, per minute or per what? I just wanted a lay explanation of what the numbers refer to....

ResMed Elite II

The leak rate is for my husbands machine, he has a 0.43 L/S. His AHI is 14 one night and then 4.5 another night with the same leak rate. Does this mean he needs a new mask?
