I started out with the Mirage Quattro. After just a few days I had sorness from the forehead support. I contacted my supplier and they had a ComfortFull 2 in the store, so they had me try it. I had all sorts or leaks with it, (nothing like waking up and hearing what sounds like someone passing gas) so now I am back to the Mirage Quattro until they decide whether I can get the FullLife Full Face Mask. I am hoping that they will . I was just wondering if anyone out there has tried the FullLife Full Face Mask. I really look forward to getting a mask that doesnt have the forhead support to obstruct my view because most I the time I do fall asleep watching television so therefore I put my mask on when I get into bed, and the forhead support makes it difficult to watch television or even read.
Any feedback would be appreciated :o)

Christine C,

Here's a link on the FullLife Full Face Mask that should give you some additional data points on the mask. Hope it helps,

Mike

Get the FullLife...it's awesome.

I wrote my own lame review on some other thread after you...

Jason
I have not had the opportunity to use this mask, but it looks like something right out of star wars. That's cool!
Thanks for the tip about getting a good seal. I needed that info. According to my CPAP I have about 39 minutes of leak time. Alot of that came from the second mask they had me try..I believe it to was a mirage I just can't remember which one. I must have woke up at least 5 times with leaks on that one.We have gone through adjusting the forehead support. My DME says the problem with that may be the contour of my face. I did purchase the CPAP pillow and last night I didn't have the leaks that I have had. I woke up twice last night which is a major improvement. So I will have to say for me the pillow was a great investment.
Christina,
In order for your *PAP therapy to be successful, you need to have equipment that works for you and you alone. What works for me, your neighbor, John Doe or Jane Doe down the street does not mean it will work for you.

As I read you dilemma, the Resmed Quattro FF mask provides a good seal for you, but the forehead support is where the problem is occurring. You have tried a different mask, but it will not seal to you face shape. Hence, the dilemma escalates.

Your mask, for lack of a better analogy, is like a pair of shoes. What fits and feels good to you might not fit the next person. That's why you see hundreds of different styles and types of masks. They are not one-size fits all item. You need to find the one that makes you happy.

If the Resmed Mirage Quattro fits you, but the forehead support is applying too much pressure, there are a couple of things to look at. The first is - Do you have the upper strap tension set to snuggly? Have you tried loosening it slightly?

The second one to consider is several companies make comfort devises for this mask, as well as just about all masks. Take a look at this site and see if a forehead pad might alleviate the problem. I can vouch for these devices. They do work.

Bottom line is you need to make one person happy in your therapy and that is You.

Happy Hosing!

PS - Don't ever take the word of a DME as gospel. They have but one goal - Making the Sale. For the majority of them, you appear as $$$$.
Hi Christine.

If you are not opposed to trying nasal pillows, you might want to consider the RespCare Hybrid mask (www.hybridmask.com). It is an oral/nasal pillow combination which does not come above your nostrils, so no bridge problems, no forehead problems, and no vision obstruction. It also has a relatively small area in contact with the face, so there's less seal to be maintained and, I believe, less strap pressure required.

It is non-trivial to fit properly (there's really a bit more to it than the manufacturer tells you), but well worth the effort in my opinion. I can give you some pointers in that department if you decide you want to try it.
Well, My DME has showed how much they care once again. I have been waiting for a phone call from them to tell me whether or not they were going to be able to get and let me try out the FullLife mask. When I hadn't heard from them I decided to call them to check the status. The girl that was in the office told me "Oh, it was ordered the same day that you called. Nice of them to keep me posted huh? I was told that they would call me when the mask is in. I sure won't hold my breathe on that one. I guess some of you were right..The DME are all about $$$. I wish that I lived in a bigger town. The DME is the only one within a 30-40 mile radius. So, I really have no choice but to use them. I am hoping that this new mask will work for me. I really am looking forward to trying it out. I told my boyfriend I was going to pretend I was a fighter jet pilot. Thats what it reminds me of. You know those masks that they wear? Thats what it reminds me of. I will be sure to let ya'll know how it works out for me as soon as I get to try it out..
