It's a scam. One of the claims is that it relaxes the muscles for deeper sleep. Relaxed muscles of the upper airway it one of the causes of sleep apnea.
If this did what it said, it would make someones apnea worse.
No pill can recreate the pneumatic splint like Positive Airway Pressure Therapy.

It's funny you should bring up this topic. I have heard of an onitment made by Monks in the French Alps from the mud of a Stable where Nostradomis kept his Horse. His Horse was infamous for it's loud snoring. They would take this Mud and mix it with Pigeon droppings that were gathered where Napolean's icth had been cured. The French Alps are well known for Magical cures from the Plauge to over motivated troops. When this Onitment is ingested Apnea and all sleep disorders are eliminated. the patient gets violently ill, throwing up for hours. they are unable to sleep and sometimes die, but the symptoms of sleep apnea are not obsearved in most cases.

"Sleep Apnea is caused by the reduction of breathing intensity as one drops off to sleep. This eventually causes a rapid inhalation, resulting in a snort that wakes the sleeper. The cycle repeats all night."
As far as I know this is not the correct description of Sleep apnea, my guess is that this might help fall asleep more easily, but not cure apnea.
