Fritz I wish I could help. In my short time doing this I have only seen one person to get off of CPAP and have heard very few success stories to this effect.

Not saying it can't happen. it just does not very often. there are surgery options, as well as weight loss. The one that got away with me got into a great beriatric program. He excercised and listened to a nutritionist. He did all of this in 14 months losing about 165 lbs. He was my first pt in this field, and my last pt at that particular lab. in his case I do not believe that it was just the surgery. I believe that he made it his personal goal to get healthier. this is how my first pt ever beat apnea.

There is always the only known sure cure - tracheotomy.

Who is the doctor who posted his tracheotomy experience here? It has been very successful for him as would be expected. Do a search on tracheotomy in this forum, MIke Fritz, and you should find his thread.

Mike....everything you reply with is negative and counterproductive. If you would expound on your questions or replies, maybe someone will provide the information you seek. We don't need negativity here in this thread...we put up with enough of that in our daily lives dealing with others and trying to treat our Sleep Apnea.

This is an online support group and information exchange forum....if you cannot provide either (support or information exchange) to the members here, it would be best if you don't post anything at all.

Whew! I certainly HOPE Mike Fritz has gone out and will STAY out. The likes of him is NOT needed here or in ANY apnea support forum.He obviously is NOT willing to face the facts of his own situation.

I was being good, I told everyone what I thought about the place and I left a special message for you because you had to be a smart ass. Then you wait a while and try to take a pot shot at me. I figured you would because I had you pegged as a weasel and an internet tough guy who wouldn't dare do it to someones face but you would hide and do it when you thought it was safe. I was waiting. I would drop this and get Mike to delete this thread.
