I got my machine two weeks ago Friday and I am doing great. Not nearly as tired everyday - even back on the treadmill :o)

I "ramped up" for the first two nights then just went flat out after that - best way to find any leaks!

The only issue I have had is the sore nose - got the Lanonisoh Cream and that really helped. I also have marks on myface from the mask but they disappear ina few hours. I may be wearing it too tight but its the only way I can avoid those pesky leaks when I turn over - side sleeper.

Sometimes the fit is so good and so quiet I have to open my mouth to hear the "air rish" so I know the machine is on.

I have thrown the mask across the room, at my husband's head, in the waste basket etc. but I persevered - I have also cried in frustration at time but that only makes it worse LOL

According to my machine readings I average 7.4 hours a night on the machine so I am very happy with that.

Jennifer,

It's so great to hear that you're doing so well with your treatment. It'll be two weeks for me on Tuesday and I'm doing great on my CPAP treatment as well. It took a few days to get used to the mask and the air pressure (I'm on 9 cm right now), but it got gradually better the more I used my machine. Now I love it! I'm getting much better sleep at night and feel refreshed (not groggy and irritable) when I get up. Good luck to you Jennifer!
Something that might help with the headgear strap marks is a pad. Take a look at the items available from Karen at

Way to go!!

Congratulations on getting the much needed rest you need!!
