I rasied my pressure on my Resmed Auto 25 from my doctors 5/15 to 7/15 a few weeks ago and my AI seems to stay below 1 now but my AHI seems to be about the same. Is there any thing I could do to to bring down the AHI?

So if your AI (apnea index) went down, but your AHI (apnea hypopnea index) stayed the same, seems that your hypopneas went up. so the thing to do is to work on your hypopneas.

Right. So what can I do to bring down the AHI?
as i read this over again, i remember that the Resmed machines score hypopneas aggressively. if your AI is down to 1, you might be doing very well. what is your AHI, and how are you feeling?

What is your AHI chris? Your HI? You are on a BiPap right?
AHI is 5.0 AI 0.3. This is a weeks average. Still sleepy all day but things seem to be a little better. And yes bipap
That's good to hear, Chris! What has your AHI been running? How rested are you feeling? If your AI is staying below 1.0 and your AHI below 5.0 and you are feeling rested I would suggest that you are now done tinkering and have found your "sweet spot".

If you insist on still trying to bring down the HI then I would suggest your pressure changes be kept to 0.2 increments from here on in.
Judy -- Chris is still sleepy all day and not feeling rested.

Without going over your previous posts (I have a lousy memory) == how is your sleep hygiene? Other factors maybe in play as far as you still being tired.

I recently replaced my mattress (a pillowtop) with one entirely made of latex foam. After a couple of nights found it was too firm and so purchased a four inch CoolMax memory foam topper to place on top. My sleep has improved greatly. I am feeling more rested now. Things you may not think are impacting your sleep could very well be.
Chris, did you ever get the copies of the doctor's dictated results (1-2 pages each) and the full scored data summary reports w/condensed graphs (5+ pages each) from each of your in-lab sleep evaluation PSGs and in-lab titration PSGs?? They may well provide the info on any other sleep disorders you may have in conjunction w/your OSA.

SleepyCarol is correct, there may be other factors influencing your lack of feeling rested.
I think I jumped the gun. For the last week I have been going to sleep about 1 and getting up at 7. Yesterday I crashed out at 5 and just got up at 4 and my AHI is 6.9 and my AI is 3.1. It looks to me like the more hours of sleep I get the higher my AI and AHI is going to be. What I am going to do is set my pressure to 9/15 and see what happens. After a week or two if things dont look good the machine gets unpluged untill I get a titration study. Thanks for all the input.
Chris I do agree that a titration study could be necessary. I don't think I would go as far as to unplug your machine though. Even an AHI of 6.9 is better than what it might be without. I don't remember what you original AHI was, but I can only assume it was a far cry from what it is now. We will all help you get to where you want to be. Please don't unplug your machine. Please report back on a daily basis I will follow your post and help out however I can.

Also you have only been getting 6 hours of sleep a night. By not getting 7-8 you are only adding to your sleep debt.

Even though sleep will get us all naturally you are going to have to work at it a little to achieve great sleep. getting good sleep is like finding your Zen moment. everything in your world has to be at peace to achieve it. Your BiPap is just one tool in the process. You are so close chris.
