I just retired my first Wisp mask.  I believe I got it April 11 and have changed cushions twice.

So I guess this is at the three month mark.  The mask just failed the  night before last.  I didn't have a new cushion or I would have tried replacing the cushion again

Seems my cushions last about 1-2 months so have just been replacing after one.  Have replaced the headgear after 3 months but no other parts have had to be replaced.

I've used the Wisp. I rather like it but tend to stick with my nasal pillow masks. They seem to work better for me for whatever reason. Result? I haven't had experience with "long term" (so to speak) use.

Which nasal pillows are you using?

Swift FX and the Mirage Swift.

I like both with a slight preference for the Mirage Swift. One drawback to that mask: It has a lot of little pieces, all of which are necessary. I consider that a drawback: lose one piece and you can't use the pillows at all.

That is one aspect of the wisp I do like.  SO few pieces and easy to clean. Have to take a look at the Mirage Swift!

I have never tried Nasal Pillows. I spent four years thinking I had to have a FFM, then found out nasal masks are great.  Maybe it's time to try some pillows

I started with a nasal mask. An RT urged me to try the pillows. I was sure I would not like them but decided to give them a try when my DME sent pillows in error. If they "worked", I decided, it would save me the hassle of returning them.

Glad I tried them. They're now my favorite choice although from time to time I do switch to one of my nasal masks. Change of pace, I suppose.

Tried pillows.  For a while they seemed fine and then suddenly felt claustrophobic!

Your experience, Ginny, is a perfect example of the reason why it often makes sense to switch around among masks.

Speaking of that, maybe tonight I'll use my Wisp....

Good luck!

Hi Folks, I tried nasal pillow but some time it was great and some times not. If I had any allergy symptoms my mouth would open so I have done well with a ffm.Good Sleep,Chris

So, what kind of mask are you using now?  I was the same way with pillows.   SOmetimes it just felt like I was suffocating with it on.
