I don't like  saying this, but SleepGuide seems to have run it's course.

There are several other groups I know about

www.cpaptalk.com

www.apneaboard.com  (has clinical manuals available

our Sister site in the UK www.hope2sleepguide.co.uk

The only one I follow is our UK sister site.  I wish everyone good luck and I hope you find a site you like.

I still love SleepGuide!

I have been having trouble posting. Probably something wrong with the software. So the "death" may be caused by a similar problem experienced by many others.

As I said: I still love SleepGuide.com!

I will add further: Every time I try to start a discussion (and I just tried again) I get a "Server Not Found" error message.

Obviously, I am able to reply and/or add to a posting. I can't post anything new.

I wanted to tell everyone that I just started seeing Dr. Stephen Park. He's great!

My problem: sleep maintenance insomnia. I have some ENT problems that are aggravating everything. Dr. Park suggested that I try an APAP machine. I found a travel-size machine on Craig's List for $180. The good news: It improved my sleep! I've started having dreams, etc., etc. and feeling much, much better.

Dr. Park says that some do better with APAP while others do better with CPAP. I seem to fall in the former camp.

We're working on other issues/matters (the architecture of my mouth roof, throat, etc., etc. is "off" probably due to the fact that I wasn't breastfed. (The suckling action helps to form properly the entire oral cavity and throat we're now learning.)

BUT if you're not enjoying optimal results (still don't wake feeling refreshed and/or are still more tired than you should be during the day), consider the possibility that a different machine could make a difference for you.

I'm sorry you are unable to start a new discussion.  I seem to have no problems with that and I'm not computer savvy enough to give a solution.

I am  seeing my sleep doc, a pulmonologist, next month and perhaps he will do some tweaking.  I'm glad Dr. Park is able to help you, Zollistar.

I just tried posting something new again. No dice.

I'll visit a friend and try a different 'puter. Maybe it's my 'puter.

One thing that sometimes works for me is to delete all the saved "cookies". If you use IE it's under tools on the first page which is called home.  You will delete all saved cookies and browser history.  Trying another computer is a good idea.

Last night I went over to a neighbor's place and tried his computer. I had the same problem and was unable to post anything new.

This morning I tried deleting all saved cookies. That didn't work either.

Are others having the same posting problem?  We may not be dead -- just incapacitated for some strange reason. Maybe the sleep demons are fighting back....

That is really weird, Zollistar, but at least you can post on old discussions. I don't mind if we just have one thread for everything there are so few of us right now.  There is a little more action on our UK sister forum if anyone wants to follow that group. Mike helped Kath Hope set it up awhile ago.

I'm now at the public library. Again, got the same error message.  I bet a lot of us can't post. Somehow, Mary, you seem to be the lucky one ;-) .
