I recently went from 13 to 15 on my CPAP pressure, which the sleep tech said was kind of high. I was just wondering what the average is. What's yours?

I'm at 10 on average. I have an APAP at 6-20. Given that most CPAP's have an operational range from 4-20, 15 does favor the high side. But hey, as long as it does the trick!
My pressure is set at 9 to 15 on my apap. I tend to run between 9 and 10 with spikes going up to as much as 14.
I "think" I've read that 10 cms is an overall average of the majority of CPAP users, but I see an awful lot of 8 cms listed by apnea forum members. Above 15 cms they often start thinking about the need for a bi-level for comfort but I see an awful lot at 15 cms and even higher happily doing well w/their CPAP. I'm sure that EPR or C-/A-Flex help at those pressures. At least until one gets acclimated.
i'm on a range of 10-12, and that seems to do the trick. i am losing some of that through bad leak, though, so maybe i should have the pressure decreased a notch or two to see if the leak gets more under control.
I posted a numbers thread as well..I think I am the "Winner" with a 18 setting.
AsianImage, I think a young lady here had it kicked up to 20, making your 18 look like child's play ;-)

I stand down to the 20! WOW....
I feel better now. Thanks for all your replies.
Sorry that you're not the "winner" AsianImage, but I guess that kind of makes you a winner anyway. :)

I started at CPAP 6 cms, raised to 7 cms, raised to 8 cms where I stayed for a year or so. Then switched to bi-level EPAP 8, IPAP 13. Six months later switched to EPAP 5, IPAP 10, the EPAP 6, IPAP 11, pressure averaging out at 8.4-9 cms.
My apap is set for a range of 9 to 15. Child's play compared to many users.
