I see a lot of you talking about the numbers on your cpap machines and how much pressure your getting.  How can I do the same, not that I know what I'd be reading.  I need some education on how to help myself.  How did you all learn what these number mean?

I have Resperonics Remstar Pro C-Flex +   Auto I Q

I would appreciate any help you could give me or even to tell me where I can go to find out.

Thanks so much....

Rita you can start off getting familiar with the terminology by looking at this: http://www.sleepguide.com/page/2549090:Page:11273

After you read that, let us know what questions remain.

Rita had these follow-up questions.  Can anyone help:

What does this mean:
Epworth Sleepiness Scale < 10=(does not indicate EDS (Excessive Daytime Somnolence));10-15=(indicates daytime somnolence-not excessive);>16 (indicates EDS).

What's the difference between mild, moderate and severe Sleep Apnea? Mild Sleep Apnea = AHI between 5 and 15 Moderate Sleep Apnea = AHI between 15 and 30 Severe Sleep Apnea = AHI > 30
My doctor said my number was 74 times in four hours...How is the above counted?  Ex: between 5 and 15 Moderate Sleep Apnea...does that mean between 5 and 15 times an hour

Mike, my machine is Remstar Pro C-Flex + Auto 1Q which is not listed above.  Does that mean I should ask for another machine?
