Is my machine messing up

I had it tested and they said it was ok. The problem, it seems to not be able to deliver a full stream of air under pressure. It says it is running on 17 but when I put the mask on my face the machine seems to bog down and just blow in bursts. You can even here it
I am doing everything the same but losing ground. Starting to snore into the mask. I have an apt with my sleep doctor in a week. IN a week I will be dead.
The machine is a remstar a flex m series. It and the mask are both new.

the machine seems defective. that's not normal at all.

who is the "they" that said it was ok? it's not ok. if i were you, i'd march into whomever's office who said it's ok during business hours Eastern time, then have them call the Respironics headquarters in PA with you in the room, explain what's happening, and have Respironics explain to you and the DME (if that's who you're talking about) why it's ok for the machine to bog down and blow in bursts at a setting of 17.

You're being lied to. Your machine is NOT OK.

They is the company that I rent the equpipment from. Thanks for the words and I will be in their face the first thing tomorrow. I will get answers..Thanks

Bill,

Not sure why you are on an Auto CPAP?? It will feel different and you would not likely be getting a pressure of 17. The auto will adjust pressure according to your needs. When your awake it would probably be@ 4 cmh20 and not more than 8. This could make it difficult to breath and can be adjusted to a higher minimal pressure. I would certainly ask more questions of your provider.

but even if he is only getting a pressure of 4 cmh20, the air should be arriving as a steady stream, and not sputtering on and off as he's describing it.

Pkus anyone who would set an APAP w/a starting pressure of 4 cms is rather not too CPAP savvy (to be polite). Very few prople can even breathe at 4 cms of pressure.
