Not sure why you are on an Auto CPAP?? It will feel different and you would not likely be getting a pressure of 17. The auto will adjust pressure according to your needs. When your awake it would probably be@ 4 cmh20 and not more than 8. This could make it difficult to breath and can be adjusted to a higher minimal pressure. I would certainly ask more questions of your provider.
