Anyone else experience this. Not quite dizziness, do no tfeel loss of balance. It is hard to describe. Perhaps caused by pressure on ears while using CPAP???
I have got ear tubes 3 times. All the times I was stunned with a drop formalin acid.
This gave no discomfort and I did not feel anything, when my ENT doctor made a small incision in my ear drum. It takes only 3 minutes.

It is tru you feel nothing AFTER it is inserted and yes the relief IS immediate. But whatever you do, IF you have it done? Be sure you are using general anesthesia first! Sorry but I am a sissy and proud of it. After the pain of having it done by the loons at the VA while awake? NO WAY! Trust me....Be asllep.
I think you've had special problems, since you have had so much pain.
Here are children also under general anesthesia, when they get an ear tube.

When I was a kid (around 25?) and went the the Veterans Hospital with an earache that had my face and jaw actually swollen and unbearable pain, when they punctured MY eardrum, It hurt so bad I leveled the ER when I came unglued...I had a much different experience than yours!
