I am new to CPAP at about 2 months.  And I am curious about the lifetime of the

CPAP machines especially since they are fairly expensive. How long might I expect the

CPAP machine to last (mine is a Resmed Series 9).

Thanks in advance.  H. Hampton

I believe they are usually replaced every five years.  Some last much longer, though.
Its been and unstated rule of thumb to replace your machine every 5 years. Most insurance companies will replace CPAP machines every 5 years. I have a machine and been using it since 89-90 but also have an auto titrating machine. Your DME should help you to maintain your equipment.
