I have had my CPAP for a long time. I don't present as a someone who might have sleep apnea; I'm small & slim, I don't snore and I'm in my 40's. The only reason I was tested was to rule out causes of insomnia and my doctor and I were both surprised to learn that I have moderate OSA. Of course treatment hasn't helped the insomnia, but I faithfully use my CPAP because I'm supposed to.

After using CPAP for many years, I've recently started having a lot of trouble with burping, gas and bloating and it can be very painful. I am a mouth breather but I wear a chin strap with the nasal mask because the full face mask doesn't work for me.

I can't prop my head up because I have neck problems and use a special pillow for that, and I'm a side sleeper.

Any ideas? I would really love to hear an easy solution to this problem. It's getting worse by the day.

Hi E, If this has just started ,What has changed in your treatment , life, health ? Good Sleep,Chris

Could be that you have GERD that is aggravating things.  Have you tried any over the counter meds to see if that would help?

How long has it been since you were titrated?  Could be your pressure requirements have changed.  What type of machine are you using?  What is your pressure?
