I have had my CPAP for a long time. I don't present as a someone who might have sleep apnea; I'm small & slim, I don't snore and I'm in my 40's. The only reason I was tested was to rule out causes of insomnia and my doctor and I were both surprised to learn that I have moderate OSA. Of course treatment hasn't helped the insomnia, but I faithfully use my CPAP because I'm supposed to.
After using CPAP for many years, I've recently started having a lot of trouble with burping, gas and bloating and it can be very painful. I am a mouth breather but I wear a chin strap with the nasal mask because the full face mask doesn't work for me.
I can't prop my head up because I have neck problems and use a special pillow for that, and I'm a side sleeper.
Any ideas? I would really love to hear an easy solution to this problem. It's getting worse by the day.
