If you're, like me, planning to attend this year's APSS Sleep meeting in Minneapolis, please say so here.   I want to coordinate with you guys.

I am going to try to go. I want to hear what they have to say.
Rock, I'll be there, and would love to grab a drink with you.  I hope you get there.

Have you been to this in the past? sounds interesting would like to see transcripts of talks .or hear recordings...Do they do that? Good Sleep,Chris

i have been to it in the past, and it's pretty worthwhile.  doubt they make transcripts or recordings available, certainly not for free.

As of right now I am planning on attending Mike. The big move to the Rockies happens in the next 2 weeks. After that I will know if this trip will be affordable.
I'm not familiar with the APSS Sleep meeting--what is it?
it's a convention for people in the sleep industry -- vendor booths, lectures, networking, etc...

Thanks.

So, not so much for "patients", it sounds like...

I've recently started using cpap and having problems I can't find on any of the boards I've searched. Mpls isn't too far from me, but the convention doesn't really sound like a place to find answers.

no, it's not really for patients (you'll find that's a common theme in the health industry)....  also, this would be a very expensive way for you to get answers to your questions, because entry into the convention is several hundred dollars.  that said, if you were to go, you'd no doubt be able to get your questions answered... think about it: a convention center packed with doctors, manufacturers, vendors, sleep techs, and others, all of whom know something about sleep.  i'm not saying it's a good idea for you to go.  just that i'm sure you'd be able to learn a lot there, and likely get your questions answered.

I guess that if all us "pap "ers showed up the electrical circuts would overload when we all plugged them in ......probabbly sound like huricane too ........Pod casts dont cost much ......

I would love to attend this conference. This year I won't be there but next year when it is in Boston, I hope to be exhibiting.

I know I would learn so very much by attending. Someday.

Karen

I'd pay it in a heartbeat, if I was sure I could truly find out what's going on for me. My sleep dr is so far stymied, and I haven't found any good data or leads in my researching yet that have yielded some improvement. It seems like cpap treatment is still a very young science, and not much is known beyond a few central aspects of it.
