Just checked my machine after using 7 days.  My AHI is 4.1.  Is that OK?  No "periodic breathing".  Last night was not as comfortable with all the "stuff on" but plan to have a better one tonight.  I did feel better after I turned down the heated humidifier last night.  Was raining out and just felt too "heavy" at the highest setting.  SO turned to "1" and was much better.

Just wondered if other's here have given names to their CPAP?  Guess that sounds silly.  But you might as well make jokes about it.  The first night I said I was getting ready for "take off"  (flying a jet plane), second night scuba diving, then Darth Vader, Hannibal Lecter and Snufilofagus  (I know I butchered the last spelling....a character on Seseme Street.  No actual name for the machine yet.

Hope everyone sleeps well.  :)

The goal is to get the AHI under 5. You are doing really well Ginny! How are you feeling?

Woke up several times with my mouth open.  FIrst time.  Maybe because I took a whole ambien which I usually just take 1/2. See what happens tonight.  What an adventure!  I feel fine, but I did not feel bad to start. Everyone keeps on telling me I will feel even better.  I may be less sleepy in the afternoons.  Usually 1-2 times a week I used to take a nap.  Have not taken one now since starting.  Especially since that would mean putting the gear back on during the day.

Your AHI is good as Rock said.  I haven't felt the urge to name my machine, but if I did I would name it "Max".

Hey, I started calling my Resmed VPAP Auto "Baby" whilst she was off to the "spa" for some maintenance and I missed her so much even tho I was getting good therapy w/the PR S1 BPAP Auto. Until then it had never occured to me to name her.
Guess I will have to think of a name for the machine itself since I already have names for me while "geared up"!
