Hi there,

My name is Shirley and I have not been in here for a very long time.  The reason is because I have been very busy opening up my own business.  I now have two websites, one of them being for Touch Lamps and the other being for Buckwheat Pillows

I have very severe apnea and I just recently had my second sleep study after 4 years.  They changed me from a CPAP at a setting of 14 to a Bi-PAP with a setting of 18/14.  I do like the Bi-PAP better as it is easier to exhale at the lower setting of 14 since I am a mouth breather and use a full face mask.  The higher setting of 18 is okay, but it is pretty forceful.

The reason I started the Buckwheat Pillow site was because it was not until I got one myself about two years ago, that I was able to sleep the night through.  It supports my head since I sleep on my back and I don't have all those air leak noises as before, when my head would move an inch or two.  I would like to help people that are suffering like I was.  If you are interested in finding out more, my site has some info about the Buckwheat Pillow and how they have been around for over 600 years.  I would hope that what you read might convince you that it is a very good product and that it might be able to help you to get a better night's sleep.

Thanks and regards,

Shirley

Good Luck, SHirley.

Mary Z.

Thanks.  I might have to try one of those Buckwheat pillows.
We have another forum member that has www.pur-sleep.com website that sells aromatherapy items, buckwheat pillows (the one I have and use) and other assorted items for cpap users.  Great products.
Thank you Mary, it's been pretty tough going, but things are starting to look up now.  I appreciate the good wishes.

Well Donna, I hope you do and I hope it helps you in any way.  One of the things I love about mine is that it keeps your head cool.  I always had problems with that and added to the warm humidified air going down my throat, it was uncomfortable to wake me up.  Take care and good health to you.

Thanks Mike, I'm so glad you have found the advantages of the Buckwheat Pillow.  They do say that it really helps the neck and shoulders because it conforms to your head and keeps it that way.  Thanks for your comment and believe me I wish a lot more people would get the benefits of this type of pillow.  Take care and sleep sweet!

I have used

Original Sobakawa Buckwheat Pillows

for over 10 years, even though I have only started cpap 2 weeks ago. I find these type pillows perfect since they can be "shaped" to any needed configuration. Having had 2 major surgeries for neck & back by neurosurgeon, I also found this the ONLY way I can find any comfort. I could NEVER use any other type an was wondering if h cpap community ever heard of this. Gad to know it is not just me who thinks these are a life saver.AS a side sleeper, I couldn't live without them!
Thank you so much for your info Carol, I will go and check it out and I do agree that they are great products.  If only more people were aware of them and knew how much help and comfort they can add to their life.  Take care and sleep sweet!
