Welcome to SleepGuide, Shirley. Are you talking about Social Security DIsability, or disability for a job. If you are truly disabled by your sleep apnea you may get it, it usually takes some real disabilty, which you may have. Since Sleep Apnea is treatable, it's kind of a crap shoot. I have seen some people get it first try, some who really deserved it did not get it. I had a neuropsychologist do testing on me that proved I was unable to work. The more documentation you can get, that you aren't able to work, the better. If you don't suceed the first time, get a lawyer. Go prepared for your interview with SS justification you can't work. Disability for a job may have different criteria.
If you don't mind telling us why you are disabled it might help us give you better advice
