Don't hesitate to start a new discussion -helpful ideas are always appreciated. Biotene is a line of products available in the dental section of the drugstore. It's for dry mouth and they make toothpaste, mouthwash, and the gel. It won't help you keep your mouth closed.
Vasudha, I don't know why your responses to that discusssion are going off into cyberspace, but it happens. Feel free to start a new discussion to present your ideas My feeling on the use of gum, or a lozenge. or any thing small held in the mouth when going to sleep is there is a risk of aspiration. You were right on in one thing though- Biotene makes a gel and you place a dab of it in your mouth before sleep. It gradually releases moisture during the night. One member said he would put it in a dab behind his front teeth and leave it alone- not dislodge it with his tongue.
I would try to repy to the discussion one more time and if it doesn't show up start a new discussion.
Vasudha, as a fellow member of the forum I would like to welcome you to SleepGuide. I hope you find the discussions helpful, feel free to contribute and ask questions.
