How are things going Teri?

Do you have any more questions?

What type of mask are you thinking of getting?

Do you travel much?

If you don't you might want to consider a Fisher and Paykel HC 150 heated humidifier instead of the intergrated humidifier. The 150 has a larger water capacity and has ambient tracking (means it adjust somewhat according to the humidity in the air).

AUTOPAP ("autotitrating cpap" or "APAP") machines which record full data:
Respironics REMstar Auto M series -- with or without "A-Flex."
ResMed S8 Autoset Vantage and Autoset II
Puritan Bennett GoodKnight 420E
Covidien/Puritan Bennett Sandman Auto
DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Autoadjust

I have the Respironics M series Apap with c-flex. It is a great little machine. The Resprironics M series Apap now comes with a-flex. Making it an easier transition from breathing in and out. It is fully data capable and has the most options of any of the machines available. I would highly recommend it.

The Resmed machines are good as well. They do not offer any type of exhale relief to my knowledge when set in apap mode. The LCD screen does offer more data than the M series so if you don't plan on adding the software and reader to the M series you may want to consider the Resmed machine.

If you go to the following website you can get more details on these machines:

Respironics made the one I have.

There are others made by Remed (Autoset Vantage), the Intellipap, and others.

I will try to get you more info if you are interested.

Try to get an apap. I prefer the m series auto pap with c-flex. There is a newer model with a-flex and most swear by it. In my opinion I would go with that one as it has the most options: you can use it as a straight cpap, an apap, with out any flex, with c-flex, with aflex.

You nose will toughen up in a few days if you decide to go with the pillows. Try some Ayr gel on them. It is purchased over the counter at Walmart, Walgreens, many stores carry it.
