Hayley, as a member of the SleepGuide Crew I would like to welcome you to the forum. It is always helpful to have another Professional on board. Part of our mission is to fill in the gaps that can be left by sleep docs and DMEs. They often do not have the time or experience to deal with issues such as mask fitting, ill fitting masks, understanding machine functions that are patient accessible such as ramp or EPR. You have already addressed seveal common issues such as dating with CPAP, and methods which may help with relaxation without drugs. We seek to empower the patient to monitor their own thery via the LED screen or software. That can give us a little more sense of control and involvement and point to instances where professional help may be necessary. Of course comorbid conditions may be present and we usually do not try to tackle those issues.
As you know and have demonstrated with your posts a forum is only as supportive, lively and engaging as the posters.
