I'm going on 3 years of using CPAP.  But I would say I've only been getting great results for about half that time.   What about everyone else?

I've been on the CPAP for 3 years and 4 months. It took several months to get use to the mask but it seems to be working pretty good now. I tend to use the same mask long after it should have been replaced.
I have been using it for about 4 months now.
I have been enjoying better sleep, better cognitive function, more energy, more zest for life, better moods and better quality of life using my CPAP for over 6 years now. I am so grateful that I was diagnosed before it got really bad and I had other issues like stroke, high blood pressure, heart disease or diabetes.

I love my CPAP, life is good.

I tried for over 1 1/2 years, could never get used to it,
I started almost 5 years ago at a setting of 12 but felt that was not helping.
Last year I had another sleep study with a dramatic change in pressure to 17/14 with Bipap. Results have been a bit better.
I seem to be in a small minority- those who have never gone even a single night in all that time without using the mask.
Over the years 4 specialists have come to my home, all with somewhat different recommendations. This tells me there is still a lot to be learned .
I look forward to hearing from others.

1.5 years and results are as expected, very good. Good sleep most days with no snoring and herky jerking. Wife is very appreciative!
I have been using CPAP for over 11 years now. Been through the cycle of different masks, and finally settled on respironics Optilife pillows. They allow me the flexability to roll around a bit when I sleep. I have lost over 40 pounds since February (Thanks WW!!) and hope to be able to get rid of the machine at some point...

I have been using my CPAP for over 8 years. It has saved my life.
I have been on cpap therapy for 7 years now. Some nights you just can't wear it all night or might forget to put it back on after a bathroom break and that can alter the way you feel or the benefits you get from use. Have you gained or lost weight in the past couple of years? If you are feeling different it might be time for an adjustment of your cpap pressure. A re-titration of cpap may seem like an inconveneince but look at it like any other treatment you are on. For instance, if you were on high blood pressure meds and went to the doctor and BP was higher they would adjust your meds. You are the only one who can tell if you feel different or not and should inform your doctor who could order an overnight oximetry test to see if you are having oxygen desaturations or a re-titration of cpap to make sure the pressure is still correct for you. Best of luck and don't give up on the cpap therapy.
I have been on CPAP for 15 years. I started out on 15 psi when I got mine and have had two studies since, my pressure had been going up every time. I just started on the BIPAP about 6 months ago, and 20/15 ia working for me really well. I use the nasal pads on mine, they seem to work good for me.
have been using my CPAP for over 10 years.
26 months, numbers are still bad (not that bad and some days pretty darned good, just not consistent yet). A visit to an ENT is in my future to see if something can be done to improve the success of my therapy. I don't think I'd go for any of the major surgery, if indeed any surgery is recommended. I've just had a pressure increased and hopefully my numbers will improve. My daytime sleepiness has not improved to the point where I still don't need a dose of Nuvigi every morning, but I understand some people are like that. I think over all I do see an improvement in my mood and energy level, not attributed to Nuvigil.
