My favorite CPAP mask is the Mirage Activa nasal mask - i love how it doesn't feel tight on my face... but more like a cushion of air resting on it.

I hate them all.
I started with a Breeze with nasal pillows and eventually switched to the Breeze Dream Seal. I like the Breeze headgear, no straps over my face, easy on and off (bathroom trips in the middle of th night!) and overall comfort. The Dream Seal (nasal mask) has more than enough adjustments for me.
I use the Active LT. It is very comfortable and has some give with movement built in. I have tried over 10 and finally found my mask!
my favorite right now is a resmed mirage activa lt -- no leaks at 15 pounds and i can sleep a full 12 hours with it . i would like to use a nasal unit but at my pressures they dry out my passages even with the humidifier -- my only complaint with all masks is that the straps always go right over my ears - gittin used to it
My review of the Respironics Fit Life Total Face Mask was so long ago I can't find it. They really need to manufacture a medium, as the large is too large and the small too small. However I have adapted the small mask so I can wear it with 0.0 leaks most nights at an IPAP of 22.
First there is an over the top of the head strap. I tied this to the place where the botton two straps cross with a shoestring. This keeps the topmost straps from moving around. Then to keep it out of my mouth on the bottom, I added a small headband, and run it from one side of the bottom strap to the other, right at the connectors- this goes under my chin and is very confortable.
I would like to know what kind of FFM other people on high IPAPs, over 20, have found to work without too much leakage. Thanks,
Mary Z.
This is a good mask to avoid completely my nose bridge problems, and the best mask I have ever had regarding leaks. I do have to wear it rather tight, but it's not uncomfortable.
I'm glad all of you and this forum are still here. Sorry, I've been AWOL. At this time it feels like I'm in an AA meeting admitting to everyone in the forum that I have fallen off the wagon (i.e.: I have stopped using my CPAP). It was more than a struggle, but the forces from the dark side have me convinced that it's not worth it. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea in 2005. I was immediately certified as a gung-ho evangelist drumbeater for our cause. I really don't know how I was transformed from that to a person feeling like it's not worth it and I don't care!
I stumbled to the keyboard & screen (I think because I couldn't sleep) to check in on what you all are up to and saw one of our friends say it all so much better than I could:

What I am really trying to say is - can you Please help me? - and I wonder if Zombob is saying the same thing?

Thanks for listening.
There's been a lot of this going around lately, Gary. I wouldn't call it forces from the darkside. Sometimes things are just more that we can handle and we can't get the help we need because there are no easy answers. How are you feeling? Do you want to find some kind of treatment that will work for you? A chronic illness can saddle us with a lot of baggage and sleep apnea can affect our moods in so many ways. No need to feel like you fell off the wagon. Just let us know what's going on and what you want to do and we'll try to help.

Help!! I have ResMed S8 Elite System. First of all, it has a hard plastic (blueish/grey color) that fits on forehead and on into top of head (causing hair loss bad) and I have bad leaks. I cannot wear a nasal (one that fits into my nose). I really do like the quietness of the machine. I have made a list of these and will seek to find or see them. Thanks
What mask are you using, Evelyn?
