I am learning that. It got very confusing. I'd been told by my bio father that we descended from whales. That he knew of a family crest. I am now after years of searching, in possession of that crest.
Well, I work as a multimedia designer for the CleveMed Sleep team (medical devices company) and we make wireless sleep diagnostic equipment among other things. I personally had not even heard of Sleep Apnea till then. Goes to show how much of educating is needed out there.
Thanks for the comment! Looks like a great community here.

OK, Plain old 99, I read your profile.
Knowing Sign Language will be very rewarding.
fyi - practice using a mirror; that will make reading easier, if you haven't already done that.
Good luck on that endeavor.
Thanks for the welcome! I always thought my first name meant "Christmas", I don't know if it has another meaning or not. My married name (Piros) means "red" in Hungarian. We just recently found this out as my husband was always told his family was from Greece.
It's the Family Coat of Arms. In the arched curve along the top is Chaloupecky, the original spelling of my family name (now Halepaska). Below that is Coat of arms and then last but not least, Pivo & Erb. Bohemian for Beer & Breast, antiquity's dual foods of life.
If you are undergoing a sleep study in June and you have apnoea. You should by then receive the S9 and all the bits from the National Heath. If you wish to buy private you will need a form completed by the sleep clinic and then register at http://shop.realsleep.co.uk/. That's Resmed UK and you will be permitted to buy VAT free. Good luck with the sleep study
I don't think that I have a thyroid problem because I have been tested plus i have neevr been a big person I was always small until I hit 35 then the weight started coming only a little at a time and i thought it was ok but then when i tried to lose it the weight would not stop it kept going up now I am two times the weight so losing a little weight and seeing it go down one pound every week is a good thing to me I have not walk or run or done anything to lose weight it is just going by its self and I have to start doing things to help it to go down more
99, you're ahead of all of us (on the beach with mollete?), kelp? Like the new avator by the way.. Let us know more details on the kelp, please, how you take it, the dose, anything else pertinent please.
Thanks,
Mary Z.
I had to do some digging based on the limited info I have from your profile here but the Rhondda address seemed to have worked. Assuming you are the gentleman with telephone ending 001 then my colleague has contacted you Thursday 11:14am by email to request the additional info required. Please double check your junk folder just to be sure. Regards, James
Thanks for the welcome. Firstly, I am not a Medical Doctor, just a PhD in English Lit. I have recently been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea through very low oxygen levels while sleeping. I am waiting, not very patiently, for results from my over night "wire up", to get on with treatment. Probably CPAP plus oxygen, but the specialist will decide after these latest tests. I just want to get on with it, so that I may, perhaps, get a more restful sleep, and feel like living again. I will keep the group informed of my progress.
Thanks again for the welcome!!
Thanks for the info. I do have a transformer, but wonder if it's strong enough, if that makes any sense. Monday, will call the company. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. Also, appreciate the 'ask again' tip. I've usually stopped at the first denial.
Hi And thanks for the welcome note. Ive been aware of my sleep apnea problem for some time. At first it was mild with lots of snoring. Over time it got worse and my wife couldnt sleep in the same room. I was unsuccessful with the CPAP and contacted a dentist friend about making me an oral appliance. As a dentist myself that was the beginning of my interest in working with patients who share this challenge
Thank you for the welcome note. I appreciate the comment about being an "expert" but to be honest I learn more on the forums than anywhere else. Glad to be here.
Hi i've join to try to find some information about using cpap which has stopped apnea's but i still feel extremly tired all of the time i have been taking tramadol and then changed to oxycontine for the last 4yrs which i think the problem is but my pain specialist keeps telling me its not the pain meds which i take for disc degenaration i have ask my gp for some medication to help with the tiredness he told me only the sleep clinic Doctor can perscribe medication for that but I'm having a nightmare trying to get an appointment to c him i was seeing him next week but they moved my appointment to march this has happened 4 times now any advice would be nice
