a place to post members' (and non-members) books (titles, author, maybe publisher, etc.) in one place on the site so people can refer to it for reading material
"I've just been thinking.....there are several professionals on here who have written books. I always think I want to read them whenever I hear about another one, but I never remember the titles.
Is there any way to post members' books (titles, author, maybe publisher, etc.) in one place on the site so people could refer to it for reading material? It sure would help me, and probably others. It would also be a great way to honor the contributions of those who have joined SG after taking the time to actually write a book that educates apnea patients. Yet another step in the right direction, education-wise.....
Help them and help ourselves, all at the same time!"
Hello all -
Per a recent conversation with Susan McCord, I had recently posted a reference to a cook book I like on the "Losing pounds sensibly..." group, and she thought it might be worth having this in the Book Group as well. I would be glad to contribute in that way, but am not sure if I start posting cook books in the Sleep Apnea Book Club if that would generate too many tangents or what the best way to go about this would be. We are seeking your opinions as members of the Book Group. I could see making a thread with a title something like: "Cook Books and Nutritional Sources found helpful by members". Please consider and post your opinion and we can take it from there.
FYI - my post in the other group was in reference to a book by Mark Bittman, who, it was noted in another post , had sleep apnea (not confirmed), and changed his style of cooking and eating as a result of this condition.
Try this- go to my page and there is a little box under your avatar and it should say, among other things "Sleep Apnea Groups" . If you click on that it should take you to a page that lists the groups you have signed up for and "All Groups". All groups will show you the groups available to join. I believe from there you should be able to sign up for the book club. If this doesn't work, contact Mike or post here and we'll try again.

Hi people, I'm relatively new to this Group and Forum. Can someone be kind enough to enlighten me on the process of posting a book on this Book Group.
Thanks and warm regards,
