This group is dedicated to those of us that need to shed those extra pounds caused by untreated sleep apnea. Here we may share our stories, recipes, and motivate each other to take control over our weight caused by sleep apnea.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide on how to lose some of this weight I've gained since starting CPAP. I'm obese anyway, and for some reason I've gained since starting CPAP in April. I'm going to try to find a place to swim, since that's my favorite exercise. As for an eating plan, can someone give me an idea about Weight Watchers?
Also, does anyone have a Zumba DVD? A friend out in Ohio says it's great.

I know what you mean. On days where I can really control what I eat (no one else is doing the cooking and we don't eat out) then I can really struggle to make sure I eat all my points. Especially since my inclination is to hoard them. (same way I am with money. heh)
Just wanted to say WW is an awesome way to lose. In 2001 I started the program March 1st and by that Thanksgiving I had lost 88 lbs. I kept it off for 3 1/2 years, then had some life altering tragedies occur and I gained it back. I gained it slowly, and could not get motivated until just recently. I am back doing points, and to be honest I found walking helped so much. I went from a size 22/24(250.6lbs) to an 8/10(160lbs), and I am 5'10. I have always been overweight. Right now, I am back on the plan and have 50 lbs to go. I have promised myself not to get obsessed as I did before. I think being aware is the first step, and then make a plan and stick to it. I am planning to be at my goal by May 2010. Good Luck everyone !!
