    Welcome to the Sleepguide community.

We are a group of patients and professionals that are interested in sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can contribute to a number of health issues, that if not treated can lead to serious consequences for those that have sleep apnea.

We work together to help those that are struggling with their therapy to find solutions to their issues that they may have. Various treatment options are available, with cpap/apap therapy probably being among the least invasive for those with severe sleep apnea.

Please feel free to join in the discussions and participate in the forum.

I hope you received a data capable machine. Which one did they end up giving you. I didn't know any better and received the M series Plus machine through a mom and pop DME. That wasn't what I was prescribed and never could convince them otherwise. Thank goodness for the internet and forums as I ended up taking it back and going to another DME to get the correct machine. I now have the M series APAP. Since using an apap I wouldn't go back to a straight cpap, even if I had to purchase out of pocket. APAP's can be used as a straight cpap or as an apap. This means they are more flexible than just a straight cpap. If you did get the PLUS return it and demand a fully data capable machine -- not just one that records compliance.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the machine you will be getting. Post in the discussions as I know some of our members do have experience with that particular machine.

    Good luck.
