No, I was not treated with orthodontics. I do have some crowding of my teeth. I had two wisdom teeth extracted in my mid-twenties because of the crowding.
Cosmetically, my teeth appear OK but not excellent. Both of my maxillary laterals slightly overlap their neighboring maxillary central. Times have changed and if today I had a child with teeth like mine, he would get orthodontics.
Thanks for your note. I'm always looking for medical professionals to collaborate with (especially dentists) who truly understand the anatomic basis for sleep-disordered breathing. I'd really appreciate a letter of introduction to Dr. Hang. I checked out his site and he seems to have a wealth of information about these issues. He even mentions Dr. Weston Price's research, which I use as one of the foundations for my book, Sleep, Interrupted: A physician reveals the #1 reason why so many of us are sick and tired.
