Just checked the hospital site and they've changed the times of the meetings back to 7pm; I'm not sure if this is correct or not.

Sorry I missed the April meeting; I was still doing taxes! Wish I wasn't so tired...

Going to post elsewhere on the site about insurance changes -- my dx is actually UARS and insurance is no longer covering cpap for us...

Just updated the schedule above, adding tentative 2011 dates. Note that the October meeting is on the 4th Thursday instead of the usual 3rd Thursday.

We have a PW A.W.A.K.E. meeting tonight at 7 pm. Bay State Medical will be there and perhaps someone else as well. I have been calling this morning, but that's all the information I have. I won't be able to call until hours later. If someone else has any information or can reach someone who knows the plans for tonight, please post it in a comment here so the rest of us will know, too.

We had a good meeting tonight and have some new members who are going to join.

I updated the schedule for 2011. We are going to meet on the fourth Thursday of every 3rd month. That means the next meeting will be January 27. Hope to see you!

I just updated the schedule for the meetings in 2011 as they are now on PW News and Events. January's meeting is the 3rd Thursday as they have been in the past and then it changes to the 2nd Thursday (which is much better for me).

Then instead of the 2nd Thursday in July, it lands on the 2nd Thursday in August and, presumably, will continue on the 2nd Thursday, every 3 months after that. I will keep checking their calendar and try to keep this one up to date.

We've heard from Kimberlie and the meeting is on for this Thursday. If you want to get your cpap/autopap/bipap machine checked for the proper pressure, bring it with you.

Now that I've found you online again, we hope to be in town for the November meeting, as I have some serious concerns with the BPAP he's been using. I just called Kimberlie and spoke with her briefly. We will be meeting Nov 10 at 7 pm. We will have a speaker from Respira who will talk about the do's of sleep apnea.

Note the events schedule on the hospital website does not show our A.W.A.K.E. meeting. This is an error and should be fixed soon.

Unrelated to our A.W.A.K.E. group, the hospital is also having Dr Kevin Glass in to talk about Getting Your Zs With More Ease on November 16 at 7pm. Registration is required.

Lincare will be at our meeting tonight. There's not a formal topic, though they usually bring equipment to show us when they come.

Our meeting that was scheduled for November 8 has been canceled because the rooms on the 4th floor will be under construction. Our next meeting will not be until next year. I do not have a date yet.

I'll update you when I know more.

Prince William Hospital is now part of Novant Health and is now called Prince William Medical Center. I've edited our text box to reflect the changes. Our next meeting is still on the schedule as Friday, June 28; I haven't found out if that's right or not.

I talked to Kimberlie at the Novant Sleep lab last week (at Prince William Hospital) and she said they would not be holding any meetings this year but are planning to start holding meetings again next year. I'll let you know when we have more information.

Meanwhile, 1st Class Sleep is holding an event on July 26, It's About Eating Right. This will be in Gainesville, which is out I66 past Fairfax and Manassas. Follow the link for more information and to RSVP. They are also holding an event on September 27, but they have not yet announced a topic.
