Thanks, I heard about this site on another sleep forum. thought i would check it out. It is the first site I have been to that is not for just techs. I am hoping to enrich my education and hopefully be of a little help.
  • Butch Hernandez

Well, I hope I didnt overstep my bounds by joining this group! Hello all :) I am an RPSGT in Abilene, TX. I currently am a working tech and have a background in DME as well.

  • Butch Hernandez

Good luck with your boards! I'll never forget the day I saw my name on the BRPT website. I was working in Austin at the time and was under a lot of pressure to pass. Talk about a sigh of relief..haha
  • RockRpsgt

I feel ya! I was a fine dining bartender before this. took one hell of a pay cut for a chance at a better lifestyle and future for my kids.
  • Loren Schiewek

I am a Respiratory Therapist. I have worked with xPAP in both home and hospital settings for 20+ years. I also wear an Auto-CPAP. Compliance is my professional passion. I do not work in a sleep lab but hope you all will allow me to contribute from a little different perspective in this group.
  • Butch Hernandez

My name is Sherry, and I too am a RPSGT in Wisconsin, have been in sleep for about 7 1/2 years, prior to that I was in Physical Therapy. Before my life in healthcare, I also was a bartender!
  • RockRpsgt

I too was a bartender before sleep. I live in indy. You 2 part of the same lab?
  • Sherry A Tatum

    Yeppers Rock!
We have a 6 bed lab, but are currently using 4 for quite sometime
  • RockRpsgt

I recently just left a 10 bed IDTF for a 6 bed hospital based lab.
  • Jim Nadolny, BS, CRT

I am an RT with over 20 years of experience in the treatment of Sleep Apnea. 13 of those years I spent as an RT in the homecare setting. Nice to be here!
  • Leslie Scott

Wow... glad so many people have joined. I have not been real active, but did just change my email address to my work address... so I will actually see my emails now. I've been an RT for over 25 years, will have my 1 year anniversary in the sleep lab in about 3 weeks... I tease my patients that I am the walking text book of sleep disorders... I have them all :) I've done hospitals, rehab and homecare before starting at the sleep lab. I am excited that we are expanding this next month to become a 4 bed lab, so I will have people to bounce stuff off from. Glad to see you all here!
  • Leslie Scott

I have been eligible for my boards since May, but been trying to come up with the funds... between vacation and back to school stuff, looks like I'm finally going to be sitting for them in December as well.
