I know my AHI before cpap was 37 so 9.9 is definitely an improvement! Is this an average over the last 3 days that I have been using the machine 7-8 hours at night? I know I have been playing with the mask (Resmed Swift LT) before actually going to sleep trying to stop any noise from leaks so this might show up also. Thanks!
In reviewing the calculations and definitions provided by 99 (thank you!) it seems that the Resmed has a"looser" definition of both apneas and hypopneas-- would that be your conclusion? So that it would be "harder" to achieve and AHI of 5 or below on the Resmed system. Is that correct?
I think the three companies descriptions listed by jnk represent the scoring spectrum very well. Each company has taken one of the different rules for scoring events and made it there own. The 3 descriptions also represent the differences in labs as well.
